A refreshingly inventive fantasy where magic users can transfer endowments from one person to another, giving rise to powerful Runelords whose wit and strength combines that of many humans (of course, one might also notice the downside, hosts of Dedicates bereft of whatever endowments they have donated). With many very original twists, the work is certainly different from run-of-the-mill fantasy.
